Bowmans Creek Wind Farm

The Hunter has long been the energy capital of NSW. As coal-fired power stations age, the region is well placed to continue this tradition and benefit from economic growth through renewable energy generation.

The Bowmans Creek Wind Farm project area is approximately 10 km east of Muswellbrook and involves the Muswellbrook Shire, Singleton and Upper Hunter Shire Council areas. Communities around the site include Hebden, Muscle Creek, McCully’s Gap, Rouchel Brook, Bowmans Creek and Goorangoola.

Stage 2 of the Bowmans Creek Wind Farm proposes a further 21 wind turbines. This extension will require a separate approval. The Scoping Report is due to be lodged in Q2 2024.

An information session for Stage 2 will be held in Mt Olive on Wednesday 3 April. If you would like to attend please RSVP to info@bowmanscreekwindfarm.com.au by Monday 1 April.
